End of the rainbow?

Welcome! I hope you remember that some time ago we started a conversation about 25 books every Minnesotan should reed. I've continued to search for on-line resources on this topic. Toward the end of last month, I entered some magical combination of search terms and up popped a reference to a piece by Brad Zellar that was published in the Star Tribune in 2008. His Sampler of great Minnesota books lists some 32 titles. It was sort of like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Many of the titles and authors he lists are included in our listing of (almost) 25 works. That's encouraging enough to make me start to think about a list of essential Minnesota Poets. Starting with Robert Bly and Louise Erdrich, we could build from Minnesota Poets listed in Rita Dove's compelling The Penguin Anthology of 20th Century American Poetry. Does this prospect seem interesting? Share your thoughts in the comments. Come again when you can. Rants raves and reflections served here daily.
