Food for thought for food

Hi! Welcome. Have you ever been a member of a Community Supported Agriculture [CSA] farm? Have you come up with or received really good recipes for more greens than most humans (other than Michael Pollan) are likely to eat in a lifetime? We're lucky enough to have an extensive, some might claim excessive, collection of cookbooks at home. I've started going through them and doing some online searches for alternatives to simply boiling mixed greens and enjoying their natural flavor. I never thought I'd be in a position to say "thank God" for Martha Stewart, but she does have an interesting recipe I think we'll try soon. Tomorrow's another pick up day at the WEI's Farm at Amadore Hill (pictured above is the pickup building, not the farm). A combination of greens and beans and andouille sausage is still under consideration. Life can take funny turns sometimes. Old Mr. "meat and potatoes" is now working on more tasty ways to use CSA greens. Come to think of it, by adding "meat and potatoes." The more things change the more they stay they same. All of this is becoming more important assuming that I get close to full recovery some day (a high priority personal goal) and plans come to fruition to bring our property closer to a permaculture example in southern Chisago County. Even the U of MN is offering courses on beekeeping. and the author of this blog keeps trying to get better and better at "walking the talk." Thanks for stopping.
