Is there an anarchist-luddite party?

SCOTUS has gone off the deep end. Congress is useless except for providing SCOTUS with additional protection so the members can continue to make decisions against democracy and the continuation of the human race. The Minnesota Legislature failed to enact several major pieces of legislation and now the Republicans refuse to return for a special session. They should be fired, but probably not enough of them will be.

Meanwhile, at the local level, our township supervisors have decided to not wait for the township to be annexed piece by piece over the next 100 years or so (growth pressures just aren’t that strong and weren’t before the price of gas doubled or tripled). They want to merge the township with a neighboring city. The proposal has triggered demands from two other neighboring cities for pieces of the township. The original claim of the township supervisors was that a merger would “preserve the township’s identity." Read for yourself below.

Meanwhile, the township residents never get to approve any of this at an annual meeting nor be fully informed about what it means for them or their property taxes and internet service prospects. This is not anywhere near the one person, one vote ideal of democracy, but it’s what we have in Minnesota when the attitude is “townships are but holding areas for city growth.”

In any event, the democrats and republicans are doing a great job of using each other to raise money from suckers and legal persons, but not from this human being who’s against global capitalism, climate breakdown, neoliberals, liars, cheats and scoundrels. Please point me to the nearest eco-socialist or anarchist-luddite meeting. I think I’ll feel more at home there.

Why I Voted the Socialist Ticket

I am unjust, but I can strive for justice.
My life’s unkind, but I can vote for kindness.
I, the unloving, say life should be lovely.
I, that am blind, cry out against my blindness.

Man is a curious brute—he pets his fancies—
Fighting mankind, to win sweet luxury.
So he will be, though law be clear as crystal,
Tho’ all men plan to live in harmony.

Come, let us vote against our human nature,
Crying to God in all the polling places
To heal our everlasting sinfulness
And make us sages with transfigured faces.

Thanks for visiting. Come again when you can.
Please be kind to each other while you can.
