Buried in Green

Today was a gorgeous, atypical November day in the North Country. I spent it at a workshop on green burial options to our conventional, expensive, polluting funeral industry. That’s about all for now. I’m tired and weary and looking forward to a saner, more humane and environmentally benign funeral than is readily available to most of us in Minnesota these days. If the topic is of interest, try starting with this page on  the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency web site: Grave Matters. I’ll get other resources organized and post them on a future date.

Anything that matters

By Joy Harjo

Anything that matters is here. Anything that will continue to matter
in the next several thousand years will continue to be here.
Approaching in the distance is the child you were some years ago.
See her laughing as she chases a white butterfly.
