As the days brighten

I spent part of the morning getting my eyes examined. [I know, getting my head examined would probably have accomplished more.] The computer screen's glare is uncomfortable on my still dilated eyes, and, of course, with my eyes dilated, for the first time in eons, the sun has come out from behind layer after layer of rain and snow clouds. We hope and expect to return tomorrow to our normal programming, on the Ides of April. For now, we'll sign of with a poem we've not enjoyed for too long.

The Beatles – Here Comes The Sun Lyrics

from album: Abbey Road (1969)

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to their faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
It's all right, it's all right
